Aquamarine Elder Futhark Runes

Handcarved 25pc Elder Futhark Runes are made from polished milky Aquamarine crystal stones and tumbled stones. Included is a velveteen drawstring storage pouch as well.

These runes measure approx 15mm (About the size of a dime) approximately and can vary. As these are natural tumbled and polished stones, slight variations in dimensions may occur. These are not flat runes and have naturally rounded stone shapes.

The Elder Futhark or Germanic Futhark is the oldest form of the runic alphabet. It was a writing system used by Germanic tribes for Northwest Germanic dialects in the Migration Period, the dates of which are debated among scholars. Runic inscriptions are found on artifacts, including jewelry, amulets, tools, weapons, and, of course, runestones, from the 2nd to the 8th centuries.

The Elder Futhark (named after the initial phoneme of the first six rune names: F, U, Þ, A, R, and K) has 24 runes, often arranged in three groups of eight runes.
