Multi Moonstone Elder Futhark Runes

Hand-selected to ensure a perfectly matched set, each multi-moonstone varies in shades of cream, ivory, peach, grey, dark brown, to black. Please note that your set will vary based on the availability of stock on hand, but rest assured that the photos shown give you an idea of the size and quality of each stone.

In Norse mythology, moonstones are generally associated with the goddess Frigg, who was the wife of Odin and the goddess of marriage, motherhood, and household. Although multi-moonstone is not mentioned specifically, Frigg's association with moonstones suggests that the stone could be used in offerings or as an aid in invoking her energy during divination.

Each full-size rune measures approximately 0.5-1" in length (approximately the size of a quarter), while travel-size runes are approximately 0.5" and under (approximately the size of a dime). Please note that sizes may vary slightly due to the natural variations in the stones.

Included in the set are the traditional 24 Futhark Runes plus a 25th blank rune. The blank rune is sometimes called "Wyrd" or "Odin's Rune." In some modern runic traditions, it is used as a spare or extra rune, while in others, it is used as a special rune with unique properties. In traditional Norse mythology and runic inscriptions, there is no mention of a blank rune. The blank rune was invented in the 20th century by rune enthusiasts and is not considered a part of the original Elder Futhark runic alphabet. Some runic practitioners choose not to use the blank rune in their divination practice, while others incorporate it into their readings. We include it in our sets, in case you choose to use it.
