Pink Opal is a type of Opal that is generally opaque and does not show the “fire” like that of Precious Opals. The color ranges from a bright baby girl pink to a pink-white, cream, or even lavender. Over time, Pink Opal has adopted the nickname “Peppermint candy stone” due to its close resemblances to candies. The country of Peru is known to have the brightest and most impressive Pink Opal specimens.
